Sunday School
Our Sunday School meets during the first part of the 10:00 a.m. service. Children begin the service with their families in the church, and process out shortly after the service begins. Sunday School is held downstairs in the Sea of Galilee room.
Our curriculum follows the lectionary, or same scripture readings that are read during the regular weekly service, although modified for a younger audience. Each lesson plan generally involves four parts: a prayer, a story reading, some discussion or sharing, and a short craft. The children then join their families again upstairs in church during the offertory, in time to share Communion together. While our curriculum is geared toward our younger children (roughly pre-k through 5th grade or so), all children from pre-K through junior high are welcome, and the older kids ably help with various aspects of the program.
