St. Andrew's Day
Some of our church services
are very special, like the celebration of St. Andrew’s Day. Although
we emphasize
Scottish heritage (St. Andrew is the patron
saint of Scotland), we celebrate our families and
the varied backgrounds and traditions of
all our people. Many people wear clothing from their country or the
country of their ancestors, and we enjoy special traditional foods after the
service.
Click on the bagpipers to see more pictures of these
special services.

Weddings are an important part
of our life together. We are blessed by the couples who want to make
St. Andrew's their church home.

The
St. Andrew’s Adventurers
are anyone who attends any of our fun events. Events at the parish include the annual Chili Cook-Off
& Auction, Thanksgiving Dinner, game night, Santa Breakfast, Spaghetti & Raffle, music events, and a Chicken Barbecue on the lawn.
All these
events are great for inviting friends and for parishioners to get to know
each other better.
Please check the
What’s Happening Calendar for upcoming
events.

Dads
& sons enjoy the parish picnic on our front lawn.
Children have fun at Halloween
and raise money for UNICEF.

 Euchre
Night is always a big hit. |

We celebrated Mardi Gras with a Pancake Supper, led
by the fellows of the parish. |

| Most of our
church services are followed by a chance to mingle with fellow parishioners.
Some of the people who attend our 8:00 a.m. Sunday liturgy go to
breakfast
together. We enjoy Coffee Hour after every 10:00 a.m. Sunday liturgy. |

Santa
joins us every year for Breakfast in early December. He reminds the children
that Jesus is the reason for the season, and that the legend of Santa Claus
comes from the life of St. Nicholas. Children also enjoy
making holiday decorations. |
In June 2002, we hosted The Toledo Symphony for our
sixth annual Neighborhood Concert. We invited guests from community
organizations - people who might not otherwise be able to attend a concert.
Chelsea Tipton II, then with Savannah Symphony Orchestra, was
the guest conductor, and a big hit with the musicians and guests. Chelsea is now the Resident
Conductor of The Toledo Symphony! |
